About Murali
|
Murali plays the drums and percussions and has an array of instruments around him. He collects stuff from toys to percussion instruments form various countries that produce rhythm. He has accompanied leading playback singers like Shankar Mahadevan, Tippu, Karthik, Sujatha, Unni Menon to name a few and the stalwarts of fusion music like Umayalpuram Sivaraman, Kadri Gopalnath, Valayapatti, A.K.Palanivel, Vikku Vinayakaram to name a few. His show with the Japanese drummers was a super hit. Murali teaches aspiring drummers the nuances of playing drums in his school called Jus Drums. He plays even on things like buckets and cans. He can literally produce rhythm from any surface and has created a niche for himself in the music circuits. Murali is known for his liveliness on stage. |
